Does this fit my car?
Our brackets fit a lot of different cars with a lot of different obstacles to work around. Many have been successfully installed but not all possible cars have been tested yet. If you have an M-30 or M-20 engine, there's a good chance we can fix you up. Send a message if you're not sure.
M-30 engines after the early 80's:
Should be a direct fit. Most of these engines will already have the wing cell compressor bracket on the engine that you need to attach our bracket to. Has been successfully used on E23, E24, E28, E32, E34
M-30 engines before the early 80's:
Yes it fits, but you may need to acquire the wing cell bracket from a later car if your's doesn't already have one. Part number 64-52-1-284-953. Has been successfully used on E3, E9, E12, E24
70's M30's with the power steering pump driven by the water pump:
Yes, it works with these engines too by simply running the belt in the rear groove of the compressor pulley rather than the front groove.
M-20 engines:
Any engine with the wing cell compressor bracket part number 64-52-1-717-007 should be a direct fit. Engines with the Bosch/Behr or Denso compressors both have this same bracket. Has been successfully used in E30 and E28. Earlier engines can be fitted if you acquire the wing cell bracket. Has not been tested on E21, or any cars with swapped engines such as 2002.
S-38 and M-88 engines:
M88 and S38B35 engines are exactly like an M30 on the bottom end. The bracket fits no problem.
S38B36 fits with the air pump deleted and the 64-52-1-284-953 compressor bracket installed. It does not fit with the air pump still in place, but let us know if you're interested in this configuration and we might develop a bracket to fit if there's enough interest.
RHD cars:
All of the cars tested so far have not had any fitment issues. Quite a few brackets have been shipped to Australia. Send a message if you're not sure and we can send you dimensions and info to try to confirm the fit before you invest in international shipping.
S-14 or M-10 engines:
We now have a bracket for S-14 and late model M-10. It solves many of the problems with original brackets by not bolting into the water pump or timing cover. It fits engines from 9/78 up and can be ordered with modifications to fit E21's before 9/78. It does not fit 2002's and other early M-10s unless the pulleys have been changed to the later style.
M-42, M-50, M-60, M-70 etc:
Most of the engines after the early 90's use a Nippondenso compressor that doesn't suffer from any of the problems that make a Sanden conversion desirable. The original style compressors should serve you just fine and our brackets don't fit them.
